Picture of the Day: I went to an info meeting today to volunteer at the Nobel Night Cap. It is an after party after the Nobel Prizes are awarded that will be held at Stockholm University this year. I was surprised by the lack of interest (there were only about 12 people at the meeting). But it sounds like it will be really fun and and I miss volunteering.
Observation of the Day: Packages are very difficult to receive here. I am expecting a package and it has been in Sweden all week but has yet to appear at my door/ notify me that it is here and where to pick it up. I’ll tackle that tomorrow.
Word of the Day: duktig (you did good work/ well done)

duktig, ruairi!
winter on the way! Be sure to blog the first measurable snowfall. And the first northern lights, if you can catch them!
Ruairi my sweet—-I have finally rectified my bad mother status and read your blog—beautiful, beautiful pictures cute girl! I am so, so proud of you and miss you like crazy! Absorb each day of this wonderful experience of studying abroad. Have a great time on your break this week and I can’t wait to see photos of Budapest and Prague (and London, too)! Wish Chi a happy birthday from us and make sure to drink some good tea while you are there! I love you more than I can say!
